Concept Questions
01. Are the principals of the proposed bottling plant eligible to obtain both a state/provincial and federal/national beverage packaging license?
02. Do you have a site selected for your bottling plant? Is it an existing building or do you plan to build to suit?
03. If relevant, what is the current zoning for the proposed plant site?
04. Do you or any of your associates have any commercial beverage production or bottling plant operation experience? If so where?
05. Do you want ABT to provide your plant with a trained beverage production manager or do you want your manager-to-be to train in an existing ABT client plant as part of the ABT apprenticeship program?
06. What volume of production, on an annual basis, in gallons or liters, are you projecting for your first three years?

Product & Production Questions
01. Do you plan to produce still or carbonated beverages, or both? Do you plan to package water? If you are going to produce water will it be spring water or processed municipal water. Do you plan to add flavor to water?
02. How many different beverages do you plan to produce at the same time? Please list.
03. Please indicated the packages that you wish to use and their percentages of the total annual production of your plant.

Site Questions
Finding an appropriate location for your beverage plant can be as great a challenge as raising money. Remember that a bottling plant is also a food processing plant and as such has strict sanitation requirements that must be met. Please note that some of the following questions are relevant only for "existing building" sites and can be skipped if you are planning to build a new facility.
01. Do you plan to use an existing building for the plant or build a new one?
02. How many square feet/square meters of space are you proposing to allocate for the plant? How much room would there be for expansion?
03. Does the floor of the proposed plant site slope to floor drains that are two (2) inches/five (5) centimeters in diameter or larger?
04. Can the floor of the proposed plant site be made waterproof by epoxy coating, tiling or other means?
05. What is the plant site floor constructed from and how thick is it?
06. Depending on the answer to question number four , would any special placement of plant vessels be required to meet the load tolerances of the floor?
07. Is three phase electrical wiring available on site or nearby in the building? If so, what is the amperage?
08. Is single phase 220 voltage electrical wiring available on site or nearby in the building? If so, what is the amperage?
09. Is there a cold water outlet on the plant site? What is the water pressure? Gallons/liters per minute rate?
10. Do you have a copy of the local water department analysis of the tap water that is being supplied to the site? If so please enclose.
11. Do you have a current floor plan of the proposed plant site? Does it indicate all current utility outlets (water, gas, electricity)? If so please enclose.
12. Do you have a proposed floor plan for the new establishment? Are architectural renderings available? If so please enclose.
13. Are color photographs of the current site (interior and exterior shots) available? If so please enclose.
14. Is there a basement beneath the plant site? If so, how high are the ceilings?
15. In feet or meters what is the elevation above sea level of the plant site?
