Three "standard" beers will always be available:
Schotz Cream Ale
A crisp, thirst-quenching light ale that will serve as an "introductory" beer for new customers. This beer will be our closest in style to standard American lager beers.
Schotz Amber Alt Beer
A malty, copper-colored, German-style ale with a medium body, hoppy palate and a clean finish. Based on the track record for "amber" beers at other brewpubs in the United States this beer will probably be the most popular beer on tap.
Schotz Porter
A medium-bodied dark, malty beer, not as heavy as stout, with a dry palate and a delicate toasted grain finish. Guinness Stout drinkers will enjoy this beer, but they'll be able to drink more of it.
In addition to the standard beers The Schotz Brewery will offer a range of seasonal and special beers on the "rotating tap. Seasonal beers under consideration include:
Book Beer - Spring
Wheat Beer - Summer
Oktoberfest - Autumn
Xmas Ale - Winter
Special beers under consideration include:
St. Patrick's Day Stout
Cherry Ale
Pale Ale
Brown Ale
Dry Beer
The Schotz Brewery will be capable of producing virtually any type of beer or ale. Experimentation and quick response to public demand is one of the hallmarks of a good brewpub. We intend to introduce a wide variety of beer styles to the Collegeville market.
